Authorities on Monday evening lifted an evacuation order after a fast-moving wildfire ignited west of Casper.

Residents are now welcome to return to their homes, according to a Natrona County Sheriff's Office Facebook post. Emergency crews are now performing mop-up operations.

The evacuations covered an area between Zero and Poison Spider roads as well as between 10 Mile and 12 Mile roads.

Much of Wyoming is experiencing hot, windy and dry conditions, and several wildfires have ignited across the state this holiday weekend.
