A 26-year-old man died Monday in a crash south of Gillette that involved a Casper driver, Wyoming Highway Patrol announced Tuesday.
Stephen C.Y. Biddle was driving a 2003 minivan when Sydney N. Peterson, 33, of Casper, drifted into his lane and they collided head on, according to the news release. Biddle, who was wearing a seat belt, died at the scene.
Two passengers in the sedan, Alex D. Gill, 24, and Vincent M. Mclain, 25, were transported to Campbell County Memorial Hospital for injuries. Both were reported wearing seat belts, the announcement said. Everyone in the minivan was a Michigan resident.
Biddle, who was driving a 1998 pickup, was transported to Campbell County Memorial Hospital for injuries and was reported wearing a seat belt.
"Inattention on her part is one of the contributing factors for the collision," Highway Patrol Sergeant Jeremy Beck said.
According to Beck, no arrests had been made and there was not an ongoing criminal investigation as of Tuesday.
This is the 87th fatality on Wyoming's roadways in 2019, according to the highway patrol.
