Flooding

Water accumulates Saturday in a pasture in the Brookhurst subdivision of Casper after a rainstorm in 2016.

The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory for parts of Natrona County after a powerful thunderstorm passed through the area.

The advisory said heavy rain that fell on an area 10 miles southwest of Casper could cause rapid rises in Poison Spider and Willow creeks. Other areas that could experience flooding include Emigrant Gap and Bessemer Bend, according to the weather service.
