A Tuesday morning crash and hazmat spill has closed the southbound ramp from the Shoshoni Bypass onto Interstate 25, the Wyoming Department of Transportation announced Tuesday morning.
A semitruck overturned, and the driver was not injured, according to the department.
The announcement advised drivers to avoid the ramp and instead use Yellowstone Highway/First Street through Mills or Salt Creek before reentering I-25 at Poplar Street.

The delay is expected to be lengthy, Senior Public Relations Specialist Jeff Goetz said. A hazmat cleanup team from Colorado was expected to arrive around noon. However, the Colorado crew "declined" to come, Goetz said.
A local crew was expected go to the scene to see if it could do the cleanup, Goetz said around 10 a.m. If it is able to, the ramp could potentially reopen sooner than expected.
It was previously estimated to reopen late Tuesday afternoon.
