Boy suffers life-threatening injuries in early morning Casper shooting

A shooting in Casper left a boy with life-threatening injuries, police said Saturday.

The suspect remained at large.

Police responded to a shots fired call at 12:45 a.m. Saturday on the 3500 block of Big Horn Street in Casper. A police announcement did not detail what officers found there, but did indicate that one boy was taken to Wyoming Medical Center.

Investigators believe the shooting was an isolated incident, with no indication of an ongoing public threat. One person was arrested in connection with the shooting.
