Casper police arrested a man Wednesday who, they say, stole two vehicles, tried and failed to steal another and burglarized a fourth over the course of three days.

When law enforcement apprehended Branden L. Robinson, 23, he was driving a stolen van and had methamphetamine paraphernalia in his shirt pocket, police say.

Court documents state police stopped Robinson driving the van at noon on Wednesday. In an interview with a police detective, he said he found the van with the keys inside it near a Casper apartment complex.

The documents state Robinson told the detective that, days earlier, he found a pickup with the keys inside it. He drove off, he said, and smashed the front end on a garage.

He then tried to take a Camaro, he said, but was unsuccessful in starting it with a “random key,” according to the documents. He said he took a necklace from inside another vehicle, the documents state.

The Natrona County Sheriff’s Office and the Evansville Police Department also assisted on the case, the Casper Police Department said in a Thursday statement.
