First Street Crash

Casper police and firefighters respond to a crash involving a van and pickup Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of First and David streets in downtown Casper. The driver of the truck and an estimated 10 people riding in the van were all transported to the hospital.

A pickup rear-ended a passenger van Tuesday afternoon in downtown Casper, sending the truck's driver and an estimated 10 people from the van to the hospital.

The wreck happened in front of the Casper fire station at the corner of First and David streets. The extent of the injuries is unknown, Chief Keith McPheeters said.

He said it appears that the driver of the truck may have a "medical condition" that caused the crash.

McPheeters had no other details at the time.

"Our investigation is nowhere near complete," he said.
