After firefighters removed the driver from the vehicle, the person was hospitalized. Police suspect the driver was drunk at the time of the crash.

Police have not yet arrested anyone in connection with the wreck, spokeswoman Rebekah Ladd said by phone Wednesday morning.

Ladd said blood-alcohol tests will inform investigators' decisions regarding the basis of any criminal proceedings. She said she did not know how fast the man was driving when he hit the house, but that officers at the scene had told her the driver was clearly speeding.
