No students were injured in a Thursday afternoon collision between a school bus and an SUV, authorities said.

The driver and both passengers in the SUV were hospitalized. Police spokeswoman Rebekah Ladd said Thursday afternoon she did not know the extent or nature of the people's injuries.

The bus driver was transported to a hospital late Thursday afternoon, a school spokeswoman said. Natrona County School District spokeswoman Tanya Southerland did not know the driver's condition.

The vehicles collided shortly before 3 p.m. near the intersection of Casper Mountain Road and Wyoming Boulevard, Ladd said. Traffic remained backed up an hour later.

Southerland said parents had taken the children from the scene.
