Brian Doner

Principal Brian Doner waves from the roof of Cottonwood Elementary School in 2016. Doner, who will become the new principal at Centennial Junior High, was preparing to camp out on the roof overnight as a reward to students.

The new principals for Verda James Elementary and Centennial and Dean Morgan junior high schools were approved by the Natrona County School Board Monday night.

Jodi Frazier, an assistant principal at Dean Morgan, will take the reigns at Verda James. Brian Doner -- the principal at Cottonwood -- will take over at Centennial, and Sagewood Principal Tyler Hartl will lead Dean Morgan.

The moves comes after a number of administrative officials across the district announced plans to retire and others were shuffled to fill gaps. Kelly Walsh Principal Brad Diller will leave after this year, to be replaced by current Centennial Principal Mike Britt.

Current Dean Morgan Principal Steve Ellbogen will move to an executive director position within the district, which will be open due to the imminent retirement of two administrators. Angie Hayes, the principal at soon-to-be-closed Willard Elementary, will take over at Bar Nunn, after its principal decided to retire.
