CASPER—Camille Christine MacManus, 89, passed away on December 1, 2018 at Wyoming Medical Center.
Camille was the youngest of seven children and was born on December 5, 1928 in Chicago, IL to Charles and Christine Gertz.
She lived in Oklahoma briefly but soon made her home in Casper, WY and met the love of her life Gordon MacManus. Between the two of them they had three children, Christine, Cameron, and Kevin.
Camille was very active in her children’s lives but also worked full time at Safeway for many years until retirement and then went on to work as a greeter at Greiner Ford until she finally really retired at the age of 85.
She was loved and respected by many people and her happiness and zest for life was very contagious. Camille was very strong and stubborn, which helped carry her through her three battles of cancer and in the end a broken hip. Her light will carry on.
Camille was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters, her husband, Gordon, and one great-granddaughter.
She is survived by her three children, Chris (Dan), Cameron (Christy), Kevin (Julie); ten grandchildren, Michelle, Christopher, Teresa, and Tyler, Brent, Steven, Allysa, and Brandon, Kylee, and Megan; as well as 15 great-grandchildren.
The services will be on Friday, December 7, 2018 at 1:00pm at Bustards Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Oregon Trail Veterans Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that a donation in Camille’s name be made to Jason’s Friends Foundation.
