Coal-to-Gasoline Plant

A concrete slab is all that has been built so far as part of the proposed DKRW Advanced Fuels coal-to-gasoline plant, which is to be near the small town of Elk Mountain. Carbon County commissioners have criticized the local higher education center’s director for his public questioning of the proposed facility.

The Saratoga Sun's Liz Wood wants to know: Will the DKRW coal-to-gasoline project aimed at a site a few miles from Elk Mountain have the water and coal it needs?

The weekly paper is discussing the issue in a three-part series, with the third out today.

For those of you interested in the project, the Sun's work provides some food for thought, centered on an interview of Jason Lillegraven, an emeritus professor from the Departments of Geology/Geophysics and Zoology/Physiology at The University of Wyoming.

From what I'm reading so far, Wood apparently didn't check with anyone else to weigh in on the issue.
