A 34-year-old Casper man died in a one-car crash Tuesday morning north of Rawlins.
Kevin Brown died in the wreck, which happened at milepost 8 on U.S. 287, according to a Wyoming Highway Patrol announcement. Troopers were dispatched to the area around 10:38 a.m. for a rollover.
Brown was driving north in a 2003 Chevrolet Suburban when it drifted off the right shoulder and overturned. Brown died at the scene of the crash. He was not wearing his seat belt.
Road conditions were slick at the time, according to the announcement, and it is being investigated whether Brown was driving too fast.
Ten people have died on Wyoming's highways so far this year, compared to eight combined the previous three years during the same timespan.
