U.S. Sen. Mike Enzi, R-Wyoming, filed for re-election Friday with the Wyoming Secretary of State’s Office.
Enzi has been in the Senate since 1997.
A handful of candidates from both parties have said they plan to run against him. Thus far, only two candidates, both Democrats, have filed with the secretary of state to get on the ballot this year: perennial candidate Al Hamburg, of Torrington, and Brooklyn, New York, attorney William Bryk.
Also on Friday, Democrat Michele Irwin filed to run in House District 18.
Candidates have until May 30 file with the secretary of state.
