RAWLINS (WNE) — A midday vehicle accident resulted in a motorcyclist’s death Thursday.

Wyoming Highway Patrol Division H Supervision Lt. Tyler Chapman said law enforcement was notified of an accident at the intersection of Spruce and 3rd streets about 11:40 a.m. He added that a Chevy Suburban was traveling east on Spruce Street and was planning to turn north on Third Street while the Harley-Davidson motorcycle was traveling west on Spruce Street.

“They met in the intersection,” Chapman said. “The Suburban hit the motorcycle and carried it north a short distance.”

Chapman said the motorcyclist was pronounced dead on arrival, while the driver of the Suburban received minor injures. The driver was not taken to the hospital.
