One person died and another was injured when a small aircraft crashed after taking off Wednesday from the Worland airport, according to information released by Big Horn County Sheriff Ken Blackburn.
Names of those involved in the crash are not being released by the Big Horn County Sheriff's office until families have been notified. The injured person was taken to a Billings hospital. No further information was provided on the survivor's condition.
Several agencies participated in the search for the aircraft Wednesday after the Big Horn County Sheriff's office was notified of a possible crash. The downed plane was found in a remote area of Big Horn County, southwest of Wardell Reservoir.
