Wyoming Hospital Association

The organization that represents the state’s hospitals is merging with an organization that represents nonprofit nursing homes.

The merge between the Wyoming Hospital Association and LeadingAge Wyoming will be official May 15, said Neil Hilton, hospital association vice president.

The merge is a good fit since about half of the 30 LeadingAge members have facilities that are connected to hospitals, he said.

The organizations are discussing whether the LeadingAge name will be retained, whether it will be renamed and rebranded with the hospital association, or whether it will fall under the hospital association's name, he said.

The organizations provide training to members. They also lobby and educate the public on issues affecting their members.
