Jason's Friends Foundation wishes to once again send resounding thanks to all who participated in the 14th annual Bowl for Jason's Friends held in Casper at El Mark-O Lanes earlier this year.
As a 501 (c)(3) non-profit corporation, we see that the money raised at this event and throughout the year goes directly toward helping any Wyoming family in our program with a child facing cancer treatment.
Hearing that your child has cancer is unimaginable. Having the nearest pediatric cancer center located hours away in either Denver or Salt Lake City makes the situation that much more daunting. Our mission is to inform and assist Wyoming families entering the labyrinth surrounding treatment for such a diagnosis.
Without lengthy applications or interviews, Jason's Friends can immediately provide both financial and moral support. From travel expenses for meals, fuel and accommodations while away from home, to paying house or rent payments, utilities and other everyday living expenses back home, we ease the financial burden of having a child with cancer.
Because of the dollars contributed each year, Jason's Friends is able to reduce or eliminate the worry of making ends meet so parents can focus on their child's recovery without distraction. We continue to offer assistance for the duration of their fight against a brain tumor, spinal cord tumor or any childhood cancers. Visit our website at www.jasonsfriends.com. or call Jason's Friends Foundation office at 307-235-3421 for further information.
Thanks to the generosity of many, this year's fundraising effort was tremendously successful. The amount raised at the 2012 Bowl for Jason's Friends exceeded an astonishing $257,000! This was only possible because thousands of people out there believe in helping others: bowlers, sponsors, donors, volunteers, business partners and benefactors. All giving selflessly to help ease the burden of someone they'll likely never meet.
Those touched by this kindness may never see your face or know your name but their lives are lightened by your gifts. Your support is appreciated more than words can express.
