Editor:

I do wish Rep. Cheney would find better things to do with her time than attacking some of the new, far-left Democrats over their choices of words.

She recently went after Rep. Ocasio-Cortez for saying that "The U.S. is running concentration camps on our southern border." According to the July 12 edition of "The Week," Cheney said that comment demeans "the memory of the 6 million Jews who died in the Holocaust."

Huh? How so? And while no sensible person would say the conditions in the U.S. camps are comparable to those in the Nazi camps, the conditions are less than pleasant, and those camps can reasonably be called "concentration camps" simply because a lot of people are being concentrated in a relatively small space. "Concentration camp" doesn't equal "death camp."

I guess Liz just likes to attack the lefties for any reason she can find. And she may have thought this particular attack would win her some Jewish votes and contributions, even though she doesn't really need much of either.
