It is my distinct pleasure to write in support of Mark Gordon's candidacy for Wyoming Governor. I have known Mark and his family for decades beginning with our intersection through my former career with Wyoming Game and Fish and work that took me to the Gordon Ranches on the slopes of the Bighorns and the banks of Clear Creek. The relationship has grown through the years. This relationship has grown through trust, which is engendered by follow-up on promises to one another in our professional modes and witnessing a strong family wending its way through tragedies and triumphs, including the stunning death of his first wife to falling in love again, remarrying and successfully blending two families -- no small feat in today's confusing world. When there was a problem to solve that involved my work, Mark said, "Let's get on it and get it done!" I have admired Mark's work on a variety of boards, both in and out of government, including bodies as diverse as Johnson County School Board, Northern Wyoming Mental Health and the Wyoming Industrial Siting Council. Additionally, his conservation ethic, ranching acumen and support of the agricultural community are second to none. Mark's commitment to Wyoming agricultural, energy and recreational bases is total and he brings thoughtfulness, education, character and collaboration to the table at a time when negativity and stubborn confrontation seem to rule the day. Perhaps the brightest spot in Wyoming's income portfolio is her investments. Yes, Mark Gordon has been in charge of one of the world's largest sovereign wealth funds for several years and the successes there speak forcefully of his dedication, education and innovation. Without doubt Mark Gordon is right and ready to lead Wyoming!
