Well, here we go again! 8 years later and the same old story. You don't actually have to be a conservative to win in Wyoming, you just have to convince enough people that you are. That is precisely what happened in 2010 and it has come around again.
Back then approaching the primary two stood out and were quite close.
There was Ron, the true conservative, and Matt the moderate liberal, who convinced nearly enough folks. Now Ron was slightly ahead until the day of the election. According to an article in this paper later that year approximately 10,000 Democrats switched parties to vote for Matt. The Dems stole the Republican primary and gave us Matt. A big government loving, gun law vetoing liberal.
Deja vu! This year we have Mark Gordon. A Sierra Club liberal trying to convince all of us he is conservative. He is not. Now, I fully expect the Dems to do the same thing this year as ethics is not a problem for progressives, so everyone has to get out there and vote! Let's focus this year. If our vote is scattered, we lose.
