In response to Cheney's talking points about Trump deserting the Kurds:

She said "I also want to say that the impeachment proceedings that are going on and what the Democrats are doing themselves to try to weaken this president is part of this. It was not an accident that the Turks chose this moment to roll across the border. And I think the Democrats have got to pay very careful attention to the damage that they’re doing with the impeachment proceedings."

So we see Cheney has decided that Trump is such a weak and incompetent leader that he can't decide when is the best time to desert our allies the Kurds. To understand this a little bit better, let's just change the wording in her statement to something closer to home that we can all understand.

In a local setting she said, "I also want to say that the grand jury proceedings that are going on and what the county prosecutor is doing to try to weaken Mob Boss No. 1 is part of this. It was not an accident that Mob Boss No. 2 chose this moment to attack Mob Boss No. 1's enforcer. And I think the county prosecutor has got to pay very careful attention to the damage being done with the grand jury proceedings."

Any normal person can understand the idiocy of Cheney's statement, except those that think the way of criminals, in which case what Cheney said would be perfectly logical as it is to her.

And no -- Trump is not actually Mob Boss No. 1, Turkey is not Mob Boss No. 2 and the Kurds are not enforcers, and the House is not the county attorney -- but essentially their functions are similar.
