Dear Natrona County Friends and Neighbors,
I am writing today to introduce myself to the voters of Natrona County. Over the course of the summer I have been knocking on doors, meeting and listening to voters and collecting signatures necessary to run as an Independent candidate for Natrona County Commissioner. I have collected the required number of signatures and have filed as a candidate for the November election. I plan to continue my grassroots approach to this campaign and will continue to knock on doors, listen to the concerns of the voters and share my ideas about the direction of the Commissioners and the County. I hope to visit with many of you this fall.
Among the subjects that I have shared with voters is my concerns about public access to public lands and the wilderness study areas we share with Freemont County. I oppose any transfer of federal lands to the states. I have been supportive of the sherrif's department and been discussing it since last spring. I also see the need to find strategies and plans to boost our tourism industry instead of cutting back in tough economic times. I will be sharing these ideas and more over the course of the fall through letters, Facebook, flyers and knocking on doors.
I have chosen to run as and Independent because I want to be answerable only to the voters of the County. If you would like to help with this effort through printed material and signs, I will be accepting donations from individuals. If you have questions or would like to contribute, I can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org or 307-267-6868.
Thank you for your support.
