Hit the mountain
Last week's storm dropped nearly 3 feet of snow on Casper Mountain. That should make for excellent skiing and snowboarding at Hogadon. All runs are expected to be open this weekend, so you can test out the new gear from Santa.
The hype delivers
Our crackerjack Rendezvous team braved Hoth-like weather to see "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." Despite huge expectations, it did not disappoint. We loved the new characters and how the film included the old characters without relying entirely on nostalgia to entertain. Even if you're not a Star Wars fan, it's definitely worth a ticket.

Last call for art
Two exhibitions at ART 321 will soon close, so if you want to check them out, now's the time. One gallery features work by Casper artists Lynette Fransen and James Reed. The other includes watercolors done by a group of Casper artists who call themselves “The Scotch and Watercolor Society.” The shows are on display through Thursday.
Yes, we spend most of the year encouraging you to enjoy your community's art scene. But if there is ever a time to stay in, it's this weekend. Fix a warm drink, put on something cozy and spend time with the people who matter most.
