Day of the Dead
Dia de Los Muertos, the Day of the Dead, is a popular holiday in other states. Two friends from Casper are hoping to raise the festival's profile in Wyoming. They're hosting a Day of the Dead celebration Saturday at the Nicolaysen Art Museum. There will be a history lecture, dance performances, art, food and a cash bar. The celebration runs from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Admission is $5.
We're buzzing about the new coffee shops in Casper. There's Java Jitters on Casper's east side and City Brew over on the west. We heard good things about both places, and when we stopped by to try for ourselves, we were impressed. It's getting cold, so go find yourself a good cup of joe to stay warm.
