The Casper College men's basketball team pulled away in the second half to defeat Colorado Northwestern Community College 85-56 Thursday in the Thanksgiving Classic at Swede Erickson Thunderbird Gym.

The T-Birds (7-1) led 40-30 early in the second half when sophomore Wilfried Likayi made three consecutive 3-pointers and Braxton Bertolette added another to create some distance from the Spartans.

Likayi finished with a game-high 24 points, with Broc Finstuen (11), Bertolette (10) and Amin Adamu (10) joining him in double figures.

Casper College outrebounded the Spartans 49-35 as Zion Tordoff grabbed a game-high seven boards and Likayi and Finstuen had six apiece.

The T-Birds face Dakota College late Friday and conclude the tourney against Eastern Wyoming College on Saturday.
