Casper College women's basketball defeats Northeastern Junior College

The Casper College women's basketball team extended its season-opening winning streak to three games with a 65-49 victory over Northeastern Junior College on Tuesday in Sterling, Colorado.

Freshman forward Juneau Jones led the way for the Thunderbirds (3-0) with 19 points and freshman Marija Bakic added 12. Sophomore Mya Jones and freshman Natalia Otkhmezuri pitched in eight points apiece.

Casper College returns home Saturday to host the Wyoming All-Stars. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m. at Swede Erickson T-Bird Gym.
