The Casper College women's basketball team jumped out to a 33-19 lead after the first quarter en route to a 92-70 victory over Laramie County Community College on Saturday.

The Thunderbirds (13-4, 2-0 Region IX North) used a balanced scoring attack to win their fifth consecutive game.

Natrona County grad Jaye Johnson had 18 points to lead six players in double figures for Casper College. Joining her in double digits were Nerea Baena and Lucie Hoskova with 15 apiece, Raquel Ferrer-Bernad with 13 and Nazli Bayzit and Bailey Johnson with 11 each.

The T-Birds play at Sheridan College on Wednesday.
