For the second year in a row, the Casper College women's basketball team will play for a Region IX Championship.

Sophomore Lucie Hoskova scored 33 points and grabbed 12 rebounds Friday to lift the Thunderbirds (27-6) to a 74-72 victory over Northeastern Junior College in a semifinal game at Scottsbluff, Nebraska.

Nerea Baena added 13 points and Jaye Johnson 12. The T-Birds led 55-51 after three quarters and held on for their second victory over the Plainsmen this season.

Casper College will play the winner of Friday's late semifinal game between host Western Nebraska Community College and Eastern Wyoming College. The championship game is set for 5 p.m. Saturday.
