A sluggish first half doomed No. 14 Casper College to a 63-60 defeat at the hands of Miles CC inside the friendly confines of Swede Erickson Thunderbird Gym on Saturday afternoon.

The Thunderbirds (13-2) went into the break trailing 39-18, which proved too great of an obstacle to overcome despite a fiery third quarter that cut the deficit to just one point.

Miles CC shot 45.8 percent (11 of 24) from behind the arc to answer every T-Bird rally while the home side went just 5 of 21 from distance.

Binta Salawu led Miles with a game-high 24 points despite shooting just 6-of-25 from the field.

Pine Bluffs graduate Kammie Ragsdale scored a career-high 15 points to lead the Thunderbirds from the bench. She went 5 of 10 from the field in 23 minutes with nine rebounds.
