The Casper Horseheads set a team record for runs Tuesday in a road victory over the Badlands Big Sticks in Dickinson, North Dakota.

Second baseman Dalton Mauldin led off the game with a home run as part of a five-run first inning and the Horseheads (6-11) rolled to a 15-6 win.

Connor Lowrie, Brady Van Hook and Ryan Gross were a combined 9-for-16 and drove in three runs apiece to lead the offensive outburst.

Casper pounded out a season-best 20 hits, with Mauldin and Lowrie both hitting home runs.

Horseheads starting pitcher Nick Cornelius allowed seven hits and five earned runs in 6 1/3 innings in picking up the win. He walked two and struck out nine.
