Dalton Holst threw four touchdown passes to lift Chadron State College to a come-from-behind 48-31 victory over Black Hills State on Saturday at Spearfish, South Dakota.

The Eagles trailed 24-7 early in the third quarter before Holst, a redshirt junior from Gillette, got heated up.

He connected with Tevon Wright for a 9-yard score and then threw a 28-yard touchdown pass to Brandon Fullerton (Riverton) to cut the deficit to 24-19.

Holst found Wright again for a 35-yard score early in the fourth quarter to give Chadron State its first lead at 27-24. Following two TD runs by Elijah Myles, Holst capped the Eagles' 41-0 run with a 28-yard scoring pass to Jackson Dickerson.

Holst completed 22 of 30 passes for 327 yards and the four TDs. Fullerton had three receptions for 55 yards and Stevann Brown (Natrona County) had 52 all-purpose yards. Defensively, Calder Forcella (Greybull) had four tackles, including 0.5 tackles for loss, and Joey Geil (Kelly Walsh) had two tackles.

Chadron State hosts CSU-Pueblo on Saturday.
