Kansas State junior Lauren Taubert finished second in the heptathlon Saturday at the Big XII Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Norman, Oklahoma.

Taubert, a graduate of Natrona County High School, won four of seven events and scored a personal-best 5,770 points. Ashtin Zamzow of Texas won with 5,817 points.

Taubert won the long jump (19 feet, 2.5 inches), the high jump (5-08), the 200-meter dash (24.35 seconds) and the 800-meter run (2:12.35). She also finished third in the 100 hurdles (13.73) and fourth in both the shot put (36-00.25) and the javelin (117-03).
