The University of Wyoming tennis team made quick work of Montana on Saturday at the UW Indoor Tennis Courts, dispatching of the Grizz with a sweeping 7-0 win to extend the Cowgirls' (10-5) winning streak to six games.

Senior Tessa van Der Ploeg started singles competition with a 6-2, 6-2 win, and senior Elisa Koonik secured the Cowgirls' win with a 6-3, 6-4 win at No. 1 singles. Those two seniors also played at No. 1 doubles, and they held a 5-4 lead before the game went unfinished.

Maria Oreshkina, Ana Royo, Ana Fernandez and Mihaela Kaftanova all won their singles matches for the Cowgirls. Oreshkina and Royo teamed to win at No. 2 doubles, and Kaftanova teamed with Ida Krause to win at No. 3 doubles.

That match ended Wyoming's non-conference slate. The Cowgirls host New Mexico on March 29 with matches scheduled to start at the UW indoor tennis courts at 2 p.m.
