Caitlyn Skavdahl

Caitlyn Skavdahl won poses after winning the 2014 individual girls Wyoming State High School Class 4A golf championship.

Six different Cowgirl golfers, including Casper native and Natrona County graduate Cailtyn Skavdahl, were chosen as 2019 Women's Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholars earlier this week.

Skavdahl, now a two-time recipient of the award, held a 4.00 GPA in international studies throughout her junior year, academically. She redshirted her first season on campus so she still has two seasons of eligibility remaining for the Cowgirls.

Other Cowgirls honored were Megan Knadler, Erin Sargent, Sarah Hankins, Samantha Hui and Cristiana Ciasca. Knadler and Hankins both completed their final years of eligibility this past season. Sargent will lead the Cowgirls as a senior this upcoming season while the young duo of Ciasca and Hui will both be in just their second seasons in Laramie to join Skavdahl.

Skavdahl was a two-time state champion while at Natrona County, as well as a multiple-time member of the honor roll and National Honor Society.
