The University of Wyoming Cowboys golf team moved up the standings on Saturday to ultimately tie for seventh at the 2019 Grand Canyon Invitational in Phoenix.

Junior Dan Starzinski led the Cowboys throughout the weekend and finished tied for fourth with a combined 207, just two strokes behind a tie for first. Starzinski, senior John Murdock and freshman Tyler Severin all shot one-under 70s in Saturday's final round. Murdock tied for 27th (even) and Severin tied for 37th (plus-3) in the final standings.

Sheridan native and Cowboys freshman Kirby Coe-Kirkham finished in a tie for 66th after shooting a 74 on Saturday. Sophomore Carl Underwood closed the action by finishing with a final-round 78 to tie for 80th (plus-10).

The Cowboys now travel over to Tucson, Arizona, for the N.I.T. hosted by Arizona, which starts Monday.
