Three qualifying members of the University of Wyoming swimming team who are competing in the CSCAA National Invitational Championships in Cleveland waited as competition began Thursday.

Isobel Ryan, Hannah McIean-Leonard and Seth Borgert all qualified for the championships and will join the meet in progress as prelims for their respective events begin.

Ryan, a senior, comes into the 100 backstroke on the heels of a personal-best 52.66 seconds that earned her the Mountain West Championship. Sophomore McIean-Leonard will compete in the 100 butterfly after breaking the school record at the conference championship meet with a 52.96. Both of them swim their prelims Friday.

Borgert will swim the 1,650 freestyle, for which he won the conference title Saturday with a personal-best time of 15:25.28.
