Wyoming transfer Paul Roberts was chosen as this week's Mountain West Men's Cross Country Student-Athlete of the Week, the conference office released on Tuesday.

Roberts, a junior, won the season-opening Cheyenne Invitational Friday in a time of 15:08, winning by a total of 5 seconds. It was his first race for the Cowboys since transferring from Colorado State-Pueblo. His performance helped lead the Cowboys to a second-place team finish.

The Cowboys, and Roberts, return to the course on Friday, September 28, for the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invitational in South Bend, Indiana.
