BOISE, Idaho — Wyoming sophomore running back Brian Hill eclipsed 1,000 rushing yards for the season on Saturday evening on a 7-yard run in the second quarter against Boise State. Hill reached the mark in eight games, faster than any player in UW history.
No UW players had reached the 1,000-yard milestone in one season since 2008, when Devin Moore finished the season with 1,303 yards.
Hill entered Saturday with 985 yards after running for 188 last week in a win over Nevada.
He is on pace to break Ryan Christopherson's single-season school record of 1,455 yards rushing, set in 1994.
In 2014, Hill led the Cowboys with 796 yards rushing.
