Falcons looking for more decisive runs from rookie Hill

Atlanta Falcons running back Brian Hill avoids a tackle by Miami’s Joby Saint Fleur during their preseason game Aug. 10, 2017, in Miami Gardens, Fla.

Former Wyoming standout Brian Hill was officially waived by the Atlanta Falcons on Saturday. The Falcons promoted wide receiver Marvin Hall from their practice squad in a corresponding move.

Hill was a fifth-round draft pick by the Falcons and rushed for 46 yards on 21 carries before suffering an ankle injury in the preseason that forced him to miss Atlanta's season opener.

Hill did play in one game this season for Atlanta but did not accrue any stats.
