Jesse Hooper engagement

Avie Jordyn displays her ring after getting engaged to Wyoming long snapper Jesse Hooper on Saturday at War Memorial Stadium in Laramie.

LARAMIE -- The Gold picked up a 14-9 victory over the Brown in Wyoming's spring game, but nobody for the Cowboys won more than Jesse Hooper on Saturday.

Hooper, a rising sophomore long snapper, got engaged to his girlfriend, Avie Jordyn, shortly after the game. Hooper initially hid the ring box from Jordyn before taking a knee on the turf at War Memorial Stadium and successfully popping the question in front of family, friends and teammates.

A native of Draper, Utah, Hooper has 10 games worth of experience after contributing as a true freshman last season. Now he's got a fiancé, too.
