The Cowboys are going to find out if they’re ready for prime time.
Kickoff times and television partners for the majority of the University of Wyoming football team’s schedule were released Thursday by the Mountain West.
UW’s home schedule features prime time games against BYU (7 p.m. on Sept. 14), Air Force (6 p.m. on Sept. 28), Utah State (5 p.m. on Oct. 26) and Boise State (5 p.m. on Nov. 23). All four games will be televised nationally on CBS Sports Network.
The Cowboys’ home game against San Diego State on Oct. 12 kicks off at 1:30 p.m. and also will be shown on CBSSN. The time and TV partner for UW’s home opener at War Memorial Stadium on Sept. 7 against will be determined at a later date.
The Border War game at Colorado State on Friday, Nov. 15 will kick off at 6 p.m. on CBSSN.

UW’s season opener at Arizona State on Aug. 31 kicks off at 8:30 p.m. and will be televised on FS1. And the regular-season finale at Washington State on Nov. 30 kicks off at 4:30 p.m. on The CW.
Kickoff times and television partners for Wyoming’s road games at North Texas on Sept. 21, at San Jose State on Oct. 19 and at New Mexico on Nov. 2 will be announced at a later date.
It was announced last month the MW Championship Game will kick off at 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6 and be televised nationally on FOX.
UW returns 15 starters from last year’s team that finished 9-4 and defeated Toledo 16-15 in the Arizona Bowl.
Junior Evan Svoboda takes over for Andrew Peasley at quarterback. His primary target is expected to be junior tight end and roommate John Michael Gyllenborg, with leading rusher Harrison Waylee headlining a solid group of running backs.
Up front, the Cowboys will miss all-conference left tackle Frank Crum, who signed an unrestricted free agent offer with the Denver Broncos, but return four starters in senior center Nofoafia Tulafono, junior right guard Jack Walsh, junior right tackle Caden Barnett and sophomore left guard Wes King.
UW returns seven defensive starters, including three graduate students in defensive tackle Jordan Bertagnole, defensive end DeVonne Harris and linebacker Shae Suiaunoa.
Junior defensive ends Sabastian Harsh and Braden Siders give the Cowboys depth on the D-line, while senior free safety Isaac White and senior strong safety Wyett Ekeler anchor the back line.
Former defensive coordinator Jay Sawvel will be making his head coaching debut after taking over for Craig Bohl, who retired after 10 seasons leading the Pokes.
