Wyoming kicker Cooper Rothe kicks an extra point in the Cowboys' victory over Air Force on Nov. 17 at War Memorial Stadium in Laramie.

LARAMIE -- Wyoming placekicker Cooper Rothe has been selected as the Mountain West Special Teams Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.

It's the second career weekly honor from the conference for Rothe, who was perfect in the Cowboys' 31-3 win at New Mexico on Saturday. Rothe connected on his only field goal -- a 37-yarder in the third quarter -- and finished 4 of 4 on extra points. He also helped limit the Lobos to just two kickoff returns for a 17-yard average.

Rothe, a Lou Groza Award finalist, is 16 of 17 on field goals this season and 28 of 28 on extra points. His field-goal percentage of 94.1 leads the nation.

He connected on a career-best 51-yard field goal against Missouri on Sept. 8.
