All three remaining Wyoming wrestlers competing at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational lost in the quarterfinals on Saturday, prematurely ending the Cowboys' successful weekend.

Sam Turner, Branson Ashworth and Brian Andrews all fell in their quarterfinal matches of the annual invitational.

Turner (141 pounds) lost to Michael Carr of Illinois by a 14-3 decision. Ashworth (165) fell in a dramatic 3-1 decision to Virginia Tech's Mekhi Lewis, who later advanced to the championship. Andrews (285) fell by a 6-2 decision to David Tate of Utah Valley, who later advanced into the finals.

The Cowboys return to Laramie and will host North Dakota State for a dual on Dec. 8.
