Freshman Quinn Weidemann finished 8-of-10 from the field and 7-for-8 from distance to finish with a game-high 24 points in 26 minutes off the bench in Wyoming's 90-62 victory over UNLV on Saturday afternoon at Arena-Auditorium.

The win gave the Cowgirls (8-3, 1-1 Mountain West) their first conference victory after a loss to Boise State earlier in the week.

Bailee Cotton added 20 points, Karla Erjavec had 14 and Taylor Rusk scored 12 (with eight assists) for the Cowgirls. Wyoming shot 58.9 percent from the field, including 65 percent over the first three quarters to build a 77-43 lead going into the final frame. Wyoming went on to lead by as much as 36 in the fourth quarter before emptying its bench.

Wyoming hosts San Diego State on Wednesday with a 6:30 p.m. tip-off.
