The Wyoming Cowgirls celebrate their win over Pepperdine during a WNIT game last season at the Arena-Auditorium.

The Wyoming Cowgirls' Saturday afternoon game against New Mexico Highlands was canceled due to hazardous road conditions caused by winter storms on the Front Range.

Wyoming's athletic office confirmed the news in an email sent less than 5 hours before the scheduled tip. The email also stated that fans who purchased tickets through the $5 Black Friday ticket special have the option of a refund or selecting a different Cowgirls home game to attend.

The Cowgirls (3-3), fresh off Monday's 66-57 win over North Dakota State that snapped a three-game losing streak, continue their season on Wednesday with their Mountain West opener against Air Force in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Wyoming continues its conference-opening road trip at New Mexico.
