The University of Wyoming women's basketball team begins practice for the 2017-18 season Monday.

The Cowgirls return four starters and 12 letterwinners from last year's team that finished 22-10 overall and 13-5 in Mountain West play.

Senior Liv Roberts, who missed the last part of the regular season with a knee injury, returns after earning all-MW honors last season. Also returning for UW are Natalie Baker, Taylor Rusk, Bailee Cotton, Clara Tapia and Marta Gomez.

Rusk was named to the MW All-Freshman team while Gomez was the league's Sixth Player of the Year.

UW head coach Joe Legersk begins his 15th season on the Cowgirls sidelines with a career record of 267-166.

Wyoming opens the season Nov. 3 when it hosts Chadron State College at the Arena-Auditorium.
