The University of Wyoming women's basketball team remained atop the Mountain West standings with a 53-49 victory at Colorado State on Saturday.

The Cowgirls (11-5, 4-1 MW) took the lead for good on Liv Roberts' 3-pointer with 6:47 remaining in the first half and held off a late charge by the Rams (11-6, 3-3 MW) to win their fourth consecutive game.

Junior Bailee Cotton made 4 of 5 from the field and 7 of 10 free throws to finish with a game-high 15 points while Roberts added 13. They were the only two players to finish in double figures for Wyoming, although Clara Tapia added eight points and Marta Gomez seven.

The Cowgirls return to action next Saturday when they host Utah State.
