The University of Wyoming cross-country teams were in separate parts of the country, but both the Cowboys and Cowgirls made their presence felt Saturday.

Competing at the Pre-Nationals in Madison, Wisconsin, the UW men's team finished fifth out of 25 teams, finishing ahead of six Top-25 teams.

Junior Paul Roberts led the Cowboys with a 12th-place finish, followed by Christopher Henry in 30th, Harry Ewing in 36th, Daniel Hintz in 45th and Michael Downey in 72nd.

At the Bulldog Classic in Sunnyvale, California, the Cowgirls placed fourth out of 24 teams. Junior Ashley Bock led the UW charge followed by freshman Katelyn Mitchem.
