University of Wyoming junior Christopher Henry was named to the Men's Track & Field/Cross Country Google Cloud Academic All-America first team on Thursday.

The Laramie native has a 4.0 GPA in molecular biology and physiology.

During the cross-country season Henry was the team's No. 2 finisher in helping the Cowboys return to the NCAA Championships for the first time since 1986.

He set the school record in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 8 minutes, 5.88 seconds during the indoor season. He also earned All-Mountain West honors with Top 3 finishes in both the 3,000 and 5,000. He also earned all-conference honors in outdoor in the 10,000-meter run.

This is the second consecutive year Henry has been named to the Google Cloud Academic All-America team.
